Addressing a crucial gap in neonatal and pediatric intensive care, RCCC spearheaded Global Grant GG2463319, bringing together a strong international partnership with Rotary District 5330 (USA) and the Rotary Club of Melawati (Malaysia). Under the leadership of President Rtn. Apoorva Modi, the club successfully coordinated funding, expertise, and execution to deliver state-of-the-art bedside Ultrasound and High-Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC) units to SRIHER’s Pediatric ICU.

These advanced systems enable clinicians to perform life-saving diagnostic and respiratory interventions at the bedside, eliminating the need to transport fragile infants and critically ill children. This capability plays a vital role in reducing clinical risks and lowering neonatal and pediatric mortality rates.

Commending the initiative, Chief Guest Rtn. Holger Knaack said, “What the Rotary Club of Chennai Capital has achieved here is a perfect blueprint for how a local club can leverage the power of the Global Grant system. Their dedication to pediatric health is a shining example of ‘Unite for Good’ in action.”

President Rtn. Apoorva Modi emphasized that the project was built on strong community trust and donor support. “Our mission was to ensure that the exceptional medical team at Sri Ramachandra Hospital, SRIHER is equipped with the world’s best technology. We are deeply grateful to our Major Donors, Raj Charitable Foundation and Raj Petro Specialities (P) Ltd, for their unwavering support in making this project a reality for the children of Chennai,” he said.

The event was further graced by the presence of Rtn. Shriram Duvvuri, District Governor-Elect, D3233; Rtn. Neelakantan L, DRFC, D3233; and Rtn. Bharat Pandya, Trustee. RCCC members Rtn. Rajkumar Narang (Secretary), Rtn. Kishore Reddy, Rtn. Bobby Varinder Singh, Rtn. Prasanth Gireesh, and Ann Roshni Modi were also in attendance.

With this landmark project, the Rotary Club of Chennai Capital has set a new standard for pediatric excellence, reinforcing Rotary’s commitment to saving young lives through innovation, collaboration, and global goodwill.
