All India uPVC Profile Manufacturers Association AIUPMA Raises Alarm Over Surge in Chinese uPVC Imports, Seeks Urgent Policy Intervention
Chennai, March 24, 2026: The All India uPVC Profile Manufacturers Association has raised a serious concern over the sharp rise in imported uPVC window profiles into India, warning that the domestic manufacturing ecosystem is under significant strain due to unfairly priced imports, largely from China. At a national-level press conference held in Chennai, key office bearers including Founder President Arokiaswamy, President Eniyan Shivam, Vice Presidents Vinod and Sanjay, Treasurer Senthil Murugan, and Joint Secretary Ram Kumar highlighted that India imported nearly 1.6 lakh metric tonnes of uPVC window profiles in 2025. Alarmingly, about 99% of these imports originated from China.
