Gleneagles Global Health City Achieves Milestone of 504 Kidney Transplants

The Department of Nephrology & Renal Transplantation has to date performed kidney transplants for both paediatrics and adults with 22 transplants comprising babies and children and 482 adults. Of the 482 adults, 156 were women recipients and 348 constituted men. To commemorate this milestone, eminent guest Sri Tenkasi S Jawahar, IAS, Additional Chief Secretary & Project Director, World Bank Aided Tamil Nadu Irrigated Agriculture Modernisation Project participated in the celebration with the Kidney transplant donors and recipients.
