Milaap and CHILDS TRUST Hospital come together to spread the word on Thalassemia in Children

Chennai, Tamil Nadu, May 3, 2023: Milaap.org, India’s largest crowdfunding platform and Kanchi Kamakoti CHILDS trust Hospital , a reputed paediatric hospital in Tamil Nadu organised an event together to create awareness on Thalassemia in children. To commemorate World Thalassemia Day, which is celebrated on May 8th every year, the event honoured the struggle of patients suffering from the disease . It brought together affected children and their families and well-known haematologists to speak about the condition, its traits, things to be mindful of, the journey to recovery and medical crowdfunding. It concluded with a delightful and engaging session of clowning and puppetry and magic show to help the children and their families heal through laughter. Kidney Transplantation gives new hope for children suffering from chronic kidney disease  Chennai, May 03, 2023: A 16-year-old girl who was suffering from chronic kidney disease was given a new lease of life by the doctors at the Rainbow Children's Hospital in Chennai. The team of doctors completed the first Pediatric ABO Incompatible Renal (Kidney) Transplant successfully.
