Chennai, 21 November 2024: The 6th edition of the Chennai Half Marathon will see over 6000 running enthusiasts lining up for glory at one of the city’s most prestigious run events here on Sunday, November 24, 2024.  The event, organised by NEB Sports and powered by Apollo Tyres, will see runners from all walks of life coming out in large numbers to be a part of the event which will be flagged-off from Olcott Memorial High School Ground, Besant Nagar and traverse through the scenic routes of Chennai.  (R to L) Remus DCruz, Head Sports Marketing & Communities, Apollo Tyres; Pratap Singh, Director General - Investigations; Nagaraj Adiga, CMD, NEP Sports  The event will see runners compete in three different categories: Half Marathon (21.1k), Timed 10K and 5K Run. Prof. Mohamed Rela and Dr. Priya Ramachandran will narrate the original verses in Tamil and provide explanations in English, while Mr. Sikkil Gurucharan will present the musical renditions of the verses in classical style  “Kamba Ramayanam – Poetry and Song” (Main Event) is open to the public at Narada Gana Sabha on 23 November 2024 (Saturday) from 6:00 pm onwards Chennai, 21 November 2024: Rela Hospital is set to present a unique Kamba Ramayanam programme in Chennai, featuring a blend of recitations, English discourses, and soulful vocal performances of select verses from the timeless Tamil epic.
