Chennai: Mar   Gregorios College of Arts & Science celebrated the harvest festival ‘Pongal’ on 11th January 2025 with great enthusiasm and fervor . The program started with the lighting of Kuthuvilakku by the dignitaries and was followed by Tamizhthai Vazhthu. Dr T.Prema, the Convener and Head of the Department of Tamil, welcomed the gathering. The Secretary Rev.Fr.Mathew Pallikunnel  bestowed his blessings upon the gathering. The Principal Dr R.Srikanth felicitated the gathering emphasizing the importance of Pongal. Ms.Ann Hepzibah Niraja , Head, Department of OSL, greeted the gathering  with her inspiring message. Dr.C.Devaraj , Assistant Professor, Department of Tamil, introduced  the Special Guest, Dr.S.Thirumagan, Former CoE, UNOM,Former Academic Council and Senate Member .
