Chennai, April 12, 2025: In a powerful step towards enhancing public safety and creating awareness about the dangers of head injuries, the Tambaram Police Commissionerate, in association with Gleneagles Hospital Chennai organised a large-scale Helmet Awareness Rally on Saturday, April 12, 2025, under the resonant tagline “No Helmet, No Ride.” The event, which began and ended at Indian Maritime university, saw over 1,000 bikers, Vintage Cars, 500 Cyclists rallying across a 16-kilometer stretch of ECR Road, riding up to Kovalam Junction and back. The campaign's aim was to highlight the lifesaving role helmets play in preventing head injuries during road accidents.
