Launch Of ‘UVGI EQUIPMENT’ Jointly Developed By CSIR-CSIO And RAYMOLD LUMINAIRES, Chennai
CSIR-CSIO , the premier R&D laboratories under the Ministry of Science and Technology, GoI, partnered with Raymold Luminaires Private Limited, a Chennai based start-up India registered manufacturer, offering IoT interfaced intelligent lighting solutions to jointly develop Ultraviolet Germicidal Irradiation (UVGI) products and systems. The products, using short wave ultraviolet UV-C technology can effectively deactivate >99.9% of infecting viruses , including the Corona virus responsible for the present pandemic, destroy bacteria and other infection causing micro-organisms. On 30th October, the products were launched in the august presence of Dr. Shekhar C. Mande, Secretary, DSIR and Director General, CSIR over virtual conference. The launch was attended by Prof. Dr. S.
