Chennai: PhysicsWallah (PW), an education company,  marks its entry into Tamil Nadu with the inauguration of three new tech-enabled offline PW Vidyapeeth centres in Chennai. Located in Medvakkam, Anna Nagar, and Ashok Nagar, the centres feature tech-enabled classrooms, offering a conducive learning environment. Chennai, 10 April 2025: Apollo Hospitals, OMR, successfully performed a highly complex knee reconstruction surgery on a 16-year-old male patient who sustained a critical open fracture of the patella (kneecap) following a road traffic accident. The patient, a promising cyclist, made a remarkable recovery and won a silver medal at the National Under-16 Cycling Championship held in Puri, Odisha—an extraordinary outcome that underscores the clinical excellence and multidisciplinary approach at Apollo Hospitals. The young patient was brought to Apollo OMR hospital with a severely comminuted fracture of the patella caused by a motorcycle accident in which he was riding pillion. The injury involved multiple bone fragments along an oblique shearing plane, with the added complication of mud and debris contaminating the open wound.
