The annual futsal tournament seeks to spotlight the resilience of refugees facing displacement from their homelands, fostering understanding and support. Chennai, 09 December 2023 - CapitaLand Investment’s wholly owned lodging business unit, The Ascott Limited (Ascott), organized the sixth edition of its Futsaltournament,the Diplomatic Premier League. The tournament saw Chennai’s diplomatic community coming together for this year’s coveted title. The tournament was organized in association with United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR), the UN Refugee Agency. The trophy unveiling ceremony was attended by Ms Margriet Veenma, Deputy Chief Mission, UNHCR along with other distinguished figures from the diplomatic community. PTR Palanivel Thiagarajan, IT and Digital services Minister of Tamilnadu presented the Award Chennai: The Rotary Club of Madras, the 3rd oldest club in India presented the Life time Achievement award to Sri NR Narayanmurthy (NRN), Founder Infosys at Chennai on 15.12.2023. The award was presented to him by PTR Palanivel Thiagarajan, IT and Digital services Minister of Tamilnadu.   N R Narayanamurthy  receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award from Rotary Club of Madras President S Ravi.
