KadhaiShorts Launched as Tamil Nadu’s First Micro-Drama Platform; Maran Group Bets Big on Mobile-First Entertainment
Chennai, May 29, 2026: Marking its entry into the rapidly growing micro-drama entertainment segment, Maran Group on Friday announced the launch of KadhaiShorts, Tamil Nadu’s first dedicated micro-drama platform, aimed at delivering hyperlocal and culturally rooted stories through two-minute episodic content designed for mobile viewers. Addressing reporters at a press meet in Chennai, Mr. Karan Dayanidhi Maran, Vice Chairman of Maran Group and Founder of KadhaiShorts, said the platform seeks to redefine digital entertainment by adapting the emotional engagement of traditional television serials into a mobile-first format suited to contemporary viewing habits. The newly launched platform currently features a curated lineup of Tamil “Kutti Series” across six genres and has more than 100 original productions in various stages of development.
