Indian Institute of Technology Madras Launches BS in Management and Data Science
CHENNAI, 21 February 2026: Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT Madras) has launched a new Bachelor of Science (BS) in Management and Data Science, offered by the Department of Management Studies IIT Madras. The interdisciplinary programme blends business decision-making with quantitative and data-driven problem solving. Graduates will receive a BS degree from IIT Madras with full academic recognition. Admissions, delivery, placements and career support will be facilitated by the Centre for Outreach and Digital Education IIT Madras (CODE). The first batch begins in June 2026, with applications open until 31 May 2026 at https://study.iitm.ac.in/mg Launched by IIT Madras Director Prof. V. Kamakoti, the programme aims to prepare professionals for leadership in a data-driven world. Industry leaders including Ms. Gangapriya Chakraverti (Ford Motor Company) and Mr. Rajiv C.
