Chennai, August 9, 2026: JK Physio & Rehab Clinics has launched an Advanced AI Exoskeletal Robotic device, marking a major milestone in bringing next-generation rehabilitation technology closer to patients across Tamil Nadu.

The advanced robotic device was inaugurated by Dr. J. Kalpana (PT), MPT Neurology, PhD, Managing Director, JK Physio & Rehab Clinics. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Kalpana said the organisation has always focused on combining clinical expertise with advanced technology to provide high-quality, evidence-based and patient-centred rehabilitation. She highlighted that the new centre aims to help patients regain mobility, independence and confidence, supporting faster recovery and a return to normal life while making advanced rehabilitation more accessible.

Dr. V. Jagadeesan (PT), MPT (Orthopaedics), PhD, Chairman and CEO, JK Physio & Rehab Clinics, which was established in 2007, spoke about the clinic’s journey and its commitment to adopting global best practices in physiotherapy and rehabilitation. He emphasised the transformative potential of EMG-assisted FES technology in neurological rehabilitation, offering patients improved opportunities to regain independence and quality of life.


The new Advanced Robotic Rehabilitation Centre integrates cutting-edge, evidence-based technologies including AI-based robotic rehabilitation, robotic gait training, robotic-assisted exoskeletal rehabilitation, EMG-assisted Functional Electrical Stimulation (FES), EMG Biofeedback Rehabilitation and Virtual Reality (VR)-assisted therapy under one roof. The centre is designed to provide comprehensive neuro and orthopaedic rehabilitation for both adults and paediatric patients.

The event was attended by Dr. P. Senthil Selvam, HOD, Vels School of Physiotherapy, and Dr. Balaji Bhashyam, Spine Surgeon, MGM Healthcare, as Guests of Honour. Dr. Bhashyam appreciated the initiative and its potential to strengthen rehabilitation outcomes. Dr. Arjun Selvam and Dr. Ayyappan Balaji of JK Physio & Rehab Clinics were also present.

The EMG-assisted FES device is now available at the state-of-the-art JK Physio & Rehab Clinics facility in Anna Nagar, alongside EMG biofeedback rehabilitation, balance training and gait training systems. With this launch, JK Physio & Rehab Clinics is taking a significant step towards making advanced, technology-driven rehabilitation more accessible to patients seeking improved recovery, mobility and independence.
