Nippo Batteries Celebrates Founder Shri P. Obul Reddy’s 100th Birth Anniversary with Special Commemorative Postal Stamp
Chennai, Dec 5, 2025: Indo National Limited (Nippo) marked a historic milestone with the release of a special commemorative postal stamp honouring the 100th birth anniversary of its founder, Shri P. Obul Reddy. Held as part of the Centenary of Light celebrations, the event brought together the Reddy family, Nippo employees, dignitaries, and industry well-wishers to celebrate the legacy of a visionary who helped shape India’s electrical and electronics industry. The celebration featured a lamp-lighting ceremony, the musical tribute “100 Seconds of Music,” a special film titled A Century of Light, and heartfelt reflections from the Reddy family, who remembered Shri Obul Reddy’s entrepreneurial courage and his belief in placing people before products.
