  Chennai, February 23, 2023: The Department of Economics organised a National Symposium on THE DRAVIDIAN MODEL: PROSPECTS AND CHALLENGES in the Loyola campus premises on 23.02.2023. The chief guest for the inauguration of symposium was Dr.R.Kannan, Senior Political Officer, United Nations (Retd.) and author of the book Anna and M.G.R. and guest of honour was Dr.A.Kalaiyarasan, Assistant Professor at MIDS and the author of the book ‘The Dravidian Model’. A Food fest to create awareness and promote millet based foods among students Chennai, 25 February: Agurchand Manmull Jain College, Chennai organised a one day traditional food festival, ‘Aahaaram’ on 25th February, 2023, to commemorate the international year of millets. In an effort to create awareness and promote the health benefits of millets, the college conducted the food fest in its campus at Meenambakkam.
