India - CEMAC Conference 2023 | Ambassador Republic of Congo Inaugurates India CEMAC Chennai office


Chennai: CEMAC Trade Council of India conference was held at Star Hotel, Guindy. It was attended by Dr. Asif Iqbal, President India Africa Trade Council, H.E Raymond Serbe BALE, Ambassador Republic of Congo, Mr. Sanith Vijayakumaran Chairman, India CEMAC Trade Council Tamil Nadu, Dr. Venkatachalam Murugan IFS Head of Secretariat Tamil Nadu Ministry of External Affairs Govt of India and South Indian business delegation. The event was the first step towards establishing CEMAC's goal of the Central African Common Market.

Business relations with India and Central African countries in various fields and future projects were discussed in the program.

Inaugurating the India CEMAC Trade Council office on the occasion, the Congo Ambassador said that Indo-Congo trade relations are vital and it is gratifying to see the development of trade relations between India and Congo. He also said that both countries can benefit by strengthening this trade relationship. He also mentioned that Indian businessmen are cooperating with good understanding.


Later, Prof Ranganathan Honorary Consul of Myanmar, spoke in detail about India's role in the G20 and Chennai as a strong city that offers opportunities to foreign countries to strengthen trade ties.

Following the conference, a delegation from the Indian CEMAC Trade Council is visiting Brazzaville, Congo this year to strengthen these trade opportunities between India and CEMAC.
