SCIENCE EXPO HELD AT VELAMMAL 

Chennai, Mar, 2019: In connection with ‘National Science Day’ the IIT Foundation of class VI-VIII organized STEM EXPO on 2nd March, 2019 in the school campus.  A wide range of Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths projects were displayed.  


The display of Hydroponic farming  was the eye catcher of the day.  The other attractions were the effects of artificial rain, vibrating robot, Hydraulic bridge, improvised ambulances to arrest traffic congestion, automatic rain water harvesting, Automatic street sweeper, Treasure island with Mathematical numbers, Solar Train, Smart city, Fire Alarm, Geothermal energy, Automatic street lights etc.

It was a memorable day for the parents and students.  The expo was an opportunity to the students to explore the innovation in them.

Chennai, October 17, 2025: Vasan Eye Care Hospital, Chrompet, in collaboration with Shrimathi Devkunwar Nanalal Bhat Vaishnava College for Women, jointly observed World Sight Day 2025 with a powerful message on preventing vision loss and promoting safe Diwali celebrations. Over 150 college students participated in a unique Blind Walk, symbolically tying black ribbons over their eyes to raise awareness about visual impairment and the importance of eye donation. The event also included a vibrant rally advocating for eye care, eye safety during Diwali, and support for the visually impaired. Chennai, October 10, 2025: The 35th National Conference of the Indian Association of Surgical Gastroenterology (IASGCON 2025) was inaugurated today at ITC Grand Chola, Chennai. The three-day conclave (October 10–12) gathers over 1250 delegates from across India and 40+ international faculty members to explore innovations in GI oncology, artificial intelligence, and minimally invasive surgery.
