Apsara Reddy and Puducherry Tourism presented Fashion Show at Puducherry Beach Festival 2022

Puducherry: Apsara Reddy and Puducherry Tourism presented a massive fashion show in Puducherry Seagulls Beach. The show featured women achievers from Tamil Nadu and Puducherry and also included transgender models.

The Honourable Lt. Governor Dr Tamilisai Soundarajan welcomed all the women achievers to the Raj NIVAS. Many MLAs and ministers attended the event that had 600-strong crowd. Speaking of the event the governor said, “it is an honour to encourage women doing inspiring things. Women have a bright future and we must keep working hard towards their goals.” She also congratulated Apsara on a successful event.

Chief Minister thanked all the tourists and guests who made #GoPuducherry, the fashion event a success.

The event featured many top musicians including Vinaita Sivakumar and national award winning drummers. Minister for Tourism Lakshminaraynan applauded Apsara Reddy for bringing a new focus on Puducherry Tourism and highlighting all the stakeholders in hospitality industry.

Apsara Reddy, said “I thank the Honourable governor madam and Cm and minister and the entire government machinery of Puducherry government including Police officials for ensuring a peaceful and very successful event that showcased the best lf Puducherry.”

Chennai, February 09, 2026: Building on the global momentum around World Cancer Day, Apollo Cancer Centre, Chennai and Apollo Proton Cancer Centre have launched the ‘ZERO TO HERO’ campaign to raise awareness about Stage Zero cancer detection and its critical role in improving survival and recovery outcomes. Cancer incidence in India continues to rise sharply, with over 15 lakh new cases reported in 2024, as per ICMR–NCRP data presented in Parliament. With one in nine Indians now facing a lifetime risk of cancer, the disease has emerged as a major public health challenge. Alarmingly, over 70% of cancers in India are diagnosed at advanced stages (III or IV), when treatment becomes more complex, outcomes are poorer, and the financial burden on families is significantly higher.
