Chennai: As part of Covid relief works, FICCI FLO Chennai under the aegis of Chairperson, Jeyasree Ravi has donated 1000 oximeters to Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC) on May 21st 2021 . This was handed over to Mr Gagandeep Singh Bedi, Chennai’s Corporation Commissioner , for use by health care worker teams for vigilance in slum areas to check spread of Covid. This was made possible by donations from FICCI and FLO members organized by national Vice President Sudha Shivkumar, Past Chairperson Deepali Goyal and Past Chairperson FICCI TN Kavita Dutt. Chennai: CREDAI Chennai has now put 200 oxygen supported Beds in Temporary Air condition structure/ German Tent. They have added two in hospitals now at Kilpauk Medical Hospital and Government Specialty Hospital, Omandurar. Credai is adding a total of 1000 oxygen supported beds with their CSR fund and sponsorship from their CREDAI members. Tamil Nadu health minister Ma. Subramaniam has inaugurated one of the centres. There has been a big demand for such support as the middle & lower income families are finding it difficult to reach big hospitals. Mr. Padam Dugar, President, CREDAI Chennai says, "As there are many ambulances lining up, so as soon as the ambulance arrives the patient can be alighted at this facility and the ambulance will become free. The patient will be attended immediately with oxygen support and if required will be shifted to the main hospital building. Chennai: The vaccination camps started by the Rotary Club of Madras  in association with Greater Chennai Corporation have been well received. The camps were held on 16 th  and 17 th  at different centers across Chennai. The camps were inaugurated by Thiru Gagandeep  Singh Bedi IAS, The Commissioner, Corporation of Chennai and Dr Ezhilan Naganathan, MLA. According to Rtn P B Prasad who is spearheading the massive program under the leadership of Pres Kapil Chitale,the camps have been carried out keeping the Covid protocol in mind and with no compromises. So far 2050 people have beem vaccinated.Today the vcamp for the hospitality industry also saw 285 frontline workers getting the vaccinationfrom different Hotels including Star Hotels.
