Apollo Hospitals Group released the second edition of ‘Apollo Hospitals Textbook of Medicine’ today


  • Second Edition of the “Textbook of  Medicine”, 5000 MCQ’s in Internal Medicine.
  • A to Z 1000 pearls in Internal Medicine and Booklet on completion of 300 cases in Advance fever clinic.

Chennai: Dr. Prathap C Reddy, Executive Chairman, Apollo Hospitals Group released the second edition of ‘Apollo Hospitals Textbook of Medicine’ today. The book will benefit the undergraduate and postgraduate medical students, BPharm students, BDS students and physiotherapists. The book is edited by Prof Dr TV Devarajan, Senior Consultant, department of general medicine, Apollo Hospitals; and the chapters in the book are co-authored by various doctors.

The book is written by eminent doctors who are specialists and teachers in their respective branches and it contains 36 chapters. A book on “The 5000 MCQS in general medicine” which covers syllabus useful for MD, DNB, MRCOG, USMLE and NEET examinations and a book on “A to Z 1000 Pearls in Internal Medicine” will help students to understand important facts about diseases and medication and also a booklet on ‘300 cases Advance fever clinic’ written by Prof. Dr.T.V.Devarajan were also  released today.

The “Textbook of Medicine” series has been  praised  by students , teachers , Vice – Chancellors as it covers as it is fondly referred to as the Atlas of Medicine since it elaborate various medical topics including Stemcell medicine, Medical ethics, Legal in medicine, Yoga, Alternative System of  Medicine ,History of medicine ,Evidence based medicine and  Nuclear Medicine.  This edition of the textbook was reviewed by President of Royal college of physicians of Glasgow , U.K and he has strongly recommended it for medical students.

Prof.Dr.T.V.Devarajan has been appointed as jury by British Medical Journal to select Oscar Award for the Doctors in Asia. Prof.Dr.T.V. Devarajan has over 40 years of experience in teaching and has many publications to his credit, including ‘Clinical medicine made easy’ ,‘Medicine in a nutshell’ ,book on Haematology , Poisoning and drug overdose ,books for healthy life for public in English , Tamil , Telugu and Hindi .
