Children under palliative care have fun day at event organised by Golden Butterflies
Chennai, October 2, 2022: What do you gift a child who is battling through their days, months, or years of treatment? Toys? books? care hampers? chocolates? - well, while all of these excite a child , there’s one thing that can bring back their joys and give them a ray of hope. The best gift for any child who is longing to take a break from treatment is to let them celebrate life and happiness like any other kids.
Golden Butterflies Children Palliative Care Foundation, a not-for-profit public charitable Trust committed to paediatric palliative care conducted ‘Adi Dhool’, a first-of-a-kind fun fete for our children and their families featuring exquisitely curated stalls for games, books, food, art activities, entertainment, song, dance and much more. The event was held at Stella Maris College ground today morning.

Stella Jacqueline Matthew, Founder and Managing Trustee of the Foundation said, “We believe in the power of play to encourage happiness through a tough time. Golden Butterflies CPCF has dedicated itself to bringing solace to underprivileged, terminally ill children suffering from incurable diseases like cancer, AIDS, end-stage organ failure, etc, whilst also supporting their families at this crucial time.”

“Buoyed by the immense support from our patron S . Santhakrishnan, we discussed the idea of a fete with doctors at hospitals we are associated with and arranged to offer these kids a time of fun that they are no longer getting due to their ailments,” she added.
Golden Butterflies a not-for-profit Public Charitable Trust established on 8 February 2018 is dedicated to serving the needs of underprivileged children suffering from chronic, advanced and incurable diseases. We are committed exclusively to Pediatric Palliative Care, supporting child patients and their caregivers in Chennai , districts in Tamil Nadu and families pan-India.
