Rotary International District 3233 Celebrates Excellence in Education; Honours Teachers and Educational Institutions


Chennai, September 20, 2024: Rotary International District 3233 today presented Rotary Excellence Awards for teachers and Rotary Eminence Awards as part of for high-ranking educational institutions excellence in education. Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi, Honble Minister for School Education, Government of Tamil Nadu presented the awards in the presence of I.Paranthaman, MLA, Egmore Constituency, Govt. of Tamil Nadu; C K Ranganathan, CMD, CavinKare Pvt Ltd; V M Muralidharan, Chairman, Ethiraj College for Women, Chennai and other Rotarians.

The event was chaired by Rtn. Mahaveer Bothra, District Governor, with the support of Rtn. Dr. P Sathish, Event Chairman. Other dignitaries include Rtn. V Ramani, District Director - Vocational Services and Rotary District secretary-admin, Rtn Dr S Ramkumar and Rtn. M Senthilkumar,District Secretary - Events.

Commenting on the awards, Minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi said, this celebration underscores Rotarys continued efforts in fostering educational development through leadership, service, and recognition of educators roles in shaping the future.

Rtn. Mahaveer Bothra, District Governor said that, Rotary District 3233s main focus was on education aligns with its mission of service and community development. By honoring educators and institutions today, Rotary reaffirms its commitment to excellence in education.

The event also featured Rtn. M Muruganandam, Director Elect, Rotary International (2025-27), as the Guest of Honour. He shared his vision for Rotary's future educational initiatives.
