SIMS Hospital Honours Organ Donor's Families on the occasion of Indian Organ Donation Day

Chennai, August 3rd, 2024 :SIMS Hospital celebrated IndianOrgan Donation day, by paying tribute to the altruistic individuals who have profoundly impacted lives through the selfless act of organ donation. SIMS Hospital invited donor families and launched a wall of hope by displaying donor photos as a tribute to for their selfless act. Dr. M. Ravi, IPS (Former DGP, Greater Chennai Police) pledged his support for organ donation and inspired others.
The donors who made significant contributions in different age groups includes, Mr. Pattabiraman, a man of enormous compassion and strong spirit, continues to impress with his incredible philanthropy. Four people now have a chance to live because to his organ donation. Mr. Ganapathi Akash, a passionate and skilled football player, died too soon, yet his legacy lives on via his followers. His organ donation saved 6 lives. Mr. Akash, a talented young donor, left an impression on everyone. His organ donation shows his empathy and saved 5 lives.
Dr. Bhuvaneswari, a champion and COVID warrior in difficult times, spent her life saving 6 lives. Organ donation was a direct result of her virtue. Mr. Stanislavaus, a meticulous and determined donor, is honoured for saving 5 lives. Organ donation shows his compassion. Donor Altruistic Mr. Raja, who always supports his family, inspires others. His organ donation gave seven families hope. Donor Mr. Sudhakar’s willingness to help and his generosity saved 4 lives.
During the occasionDr. M. Ravi, IPS stated “Organ transplantation is more than a medical marvel; it’s a heroic testament to the indomitable human spirit. Let us elevate organ donation to a symbol of honor and collectively commit to this life-affirming endeavor.”

Many people have been given a second life because of their kindness. Organ donation gives people hope when times are tough. We must establish a culture that appreciates kindness.
