MRT1's "Chennai Runs" Marathon 2023: A Resounding Success Empowering Children's Futures


Chennai, November 26, 2023 — MRT1's "Chennai Runs" marathon was a powerful initiative conducted with an intent to make a difference - to raise funds for the Sri Arunodayam Charitable Trust, contributing to the well-being and future of underprivileged children with disabilities. And, it proved to be a resounding success with over 10,000 enthusiastic runners flooding the streets; making it a testimony to the celebration of compassion, community, and collective action.

The diverse categories, including 3K, 5K, 10K, and a Half Marathon (HM), catered to participants of various fitness levels. The event surpassed all expectations with an overwhelming participation, exceeding the initial target and creating a highly spirited atmosphere. The race was officially flagged off by esteemed actor and philanthropist Mr. Raghava Lawrence, bringing with him his star power and charisma to the event.

"It's truly heartening to see thousands of individuals come together for a cause as noble as this. The energy, enthusiasm, and the group spirit at the 'Chennai Runs' marathon is awe-inspiring. I'm grateful to be part of an event that not only promotes fitness but also supports the future of children in need," said Mr. Raghava Lawrence.
