SRM Institute Of Science And Technology, Vadapalani Faculty Of Management conducts INNOVRITI Startup Summit 2023
Chennai, October 5th, 2023 The Entrepreneurship summit “INNOVRITI 2023 – Innovate Implement Improve” was organized by the Faculty of Management, SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Vadapalani campus in association with Tami Nadu Industrial Investment Corporation Ltd-TIIC and Directorate of Entrepreneurship & Innovation-DEI on 26th September 2023.The summit attracted leading innovators in the Entrepreneurial Realm, Investors and aspiring Entrepreneurs in uniting their passion for innovation and drive for success.
The event has been aimed at facilitating a collaborative environment for students through the “UDYAMEE” cell of the Department where their potential is transformed into action. Shri.C.K. KUMARAVEL CEO & Co-Founder, Naturals Salon & Spa graced the event as Chief Guest. Shri C.K. Kumaravel emphasized the importance of innovation and felt nostalgic about his father who pioneered the Sachet revolution. He called the entrepreneurs as new age freedom fighters and encouraged the students in finding an opportunity in every problem.
The Key Speakers who graced the event Dr. ShantanuPatil, Associate Director, DEI, SRMIST shed light on how DEI empowered the Industries in increasing their existing process efficiency and IPR filing process. Mr. NikunjPanchal, Associate Vice President ,Startup TN highlighted the multiple initiatives of DEI in Green Start-up Sphere.
Dr.S.Ramachandran, Director Academics, SRM Group stressed the need for developing Eco-friendly innovative products that could substitute the plastics and other Bio Non degradable products, thereby protecting the environment. Dr.V.Sasirekha, Dean FOM, Dr. C. Praseeda HOD, FOM, felicitated the esteemed Chief Guest and Jury members who graced the occasion and inculcated the importance of Entrepreneurs in shaping the economy. The event illustrated the vibrant landscape of entrepreneurship and the promising future it holds.
The inauguration was followed by the grand ribbon cutting ceremony of the startup summit. The galore of nine Jury roped upon for assessing the business models. The jury members carefully observed and listened to the business plans and processes of all the start-ups in a closed conference room and they were evaluated based on various pre-determined criteria. The start-up summit was a great success as the entrepreneurs made it difficult for the juries to make a decision, such was the competition among them.
After a long decisive break, the juries had made the decisions. The evening session in the auditorium started off with the introduction of the dignitaries followed by the address of the vibrant Chief guest Shri. Karthik kumar J , CEO of YR Media. He motivated the audience with his vibrant speech. The results were declared by Dr.Shantanu Patil, Associate Director, DEI, SRMIST in the auditorium where the cash prizes were given away to the deserved winners. 9000
The third prize of Rs.6000 was given to the start up ‘My Happy Plays’. The second prize of Rs.9000 was grabbed by ‘Paconia Packaging’. The most awaited first prize of Rs.15000 was received by ‘Belsterns Technologies’. ‘’Mellon Wellness’ startup was given one year incubation in SRMC. ‘Tamilpreneurs’ also appreciated the Prize winning startups by giving a free subscription for one year.The event concluded with the Vote of Thanks.
