Clean Plate Challenge Awareness Campaign: Updates from Day 36 to 71

JCI Hosur Lake City, as part of JCI India has launched CLEAN PLATE CHALLEGE 2023 which aims to ensure Zero Food Wastage. JC Balaganesh (Bali), a Nature Photographer Traveller along with Dr.Ranjani Rao, Honorary Member, Author-cum-Traveller of JCI Hosur Lake City are spearheading this noble initiative. The team is planning to visit 28 States covering 18,000 kms in 80 days meeting young school and college students across the country.

As part of this initiative, here is an update on Clean plate awareness campaign - a joint initiative of Zone XVI and JCI Hosur Lake City.                    

Day 36 to 38, 25th to 28th March 2023.

City - Aizwal; State - Mizoram

Promoted clean plate awareness in institutions as below.

1. Pachhung university - Eco club

2. Mizoram University

The team will next head towards Agarthala - capital city of Tripura.

Day 39 to 41, 28th to 30th March 2023.

City - Agartala; State - Tripura

Promoted clean plate awareness in institutions as below.

1. National Skill Training Institute (NSTI), under MSDE

Highlights - Had chance to meet and greet Mr. and Mrs. Maddi, cyclist couple from Asansol, WB promoting *Save Green! Save Life

Also promoted CPC at the hotel stayed, police inspector and officers,  Mahindra service centre staffs and shop keepers.

The team is now heading towards Shillong - capital city of Meghalaya.

*Highlights* - visited cleanest Village of India Mawlynlon*, *wettest place in the world Mawsynram* near cherapunji and *cleanest river in India Dwaki*

Also promoted CPC at the hotel stayed, police inspector and officers,  Mahindra service centre staffs and shop keepers.

The team is now heading towards *Patna - capital city of Bihar*.

*Highlights* - promoted CPC to Bihar police inspector and Army soldiers group who were on a bike trip.

Also promoted CPC at the hotel stayed, restaurant, tea estate workers, fuel station and auto driver children.

The team is now heading towards *Lucknow - capital city of Uttar Pradesh*.

*Highlights* - Purvanchan Express - helped a Biker *Dr Namratha*. Her bike broke down and we towed to the mechanic she is *riding all India for the last 6 months to create awareness on Breast and cervical cancer* and another biker from Bengal.

Also promoted CPC to the guards on duty at Vidhan sabha,

The team is now heading towards the capital of India *New Delhi- capital city of UT New Delhi*.

Day 51 & 52, 9th to 10th  April 2023.

City - Dehradun, State - Uttarakhand

*Highlights* - Convent Jesus and Mary school is 222 years old.

Also promoted CPC at Home stay, restaurant, Mahindra service, grocery and tea shops.

The team is now heading towards the capital of *Himachal Pradesh - Shimla*.                                 

                        

Day 56 to 59, 14th to 17th April 2023.

City - Srinagar, State - J&K

Promoted clean plate awareness in institutions as below.

1. Mahajan's Green Light Hr. Sec. School

2. University of Kashmir

*Highlights* - completed eastern half of India geographically and heading to explore western half.

Also promoted CPC at Home stay, restaurant, Mahindra service, grocery and tea shops.

The team is now heading towards the capital of *Punjab/ Haryana - Chandigarh*.                                 

                        

Day 60 & 61,t 18th and 19th April 2023.

City - Chandigarh; State - *Punjab/Haryana

Day 62 & 63, 20th and 21st April 2023.

City - Jaipur; State - Rajastan

1. NTTTS (National Train The Trainers Seminar) North centre

*Highlights* - Had chance to meet and greet our NP *JFS MK Karthikeyan* sir and IPNP *JFS Anshu Saraf* sir, participants and faculty team at NTTTS, North centre.

Also promoted CPC at home stay, fuel station, tea shops and restaurants.

The duo is now heading towards the capital of *Gujarat - Gandinagar*.                                 

                        

Day 64 & 66,  22nd to 24th April 2023.

City - Gandinagar, State - Gujarat

Day 67 to 69, 25th to 27th April 2023.

City - Bhopal*: State - Madhya Pradesh

Day 70 to 71, 28th to 29th April 2023.

City - *Mumbai; State - Maharashtra

Promoted clean plate awareness in institutions as below.

1. *JCI India national Head Quarters - Mumbai*

2. Had chance to meet and greet Mr. Mahesh, a cyclist travelling across Maharashtra creating awareness to read Indian constitution.

*Highlights* - The duo promoted CPC at a hotel and the owner agreed to provide 10% discount to customers who keeps back clean plate after eating and to JCI members visiting their hotel.  

                

Also promoted CPC at tea shops and restaurants.

The duo is now heading towards the capital of *Goa - Panaji*.
