"8th ALUMNI REUNION 2023" celebrations at Mar Gregorios College of Arts & Science

Chennai, January 28, 2023: The Alumni Association of Mar Gregorios College of Arts & Science organized "8th ALUMNI REUNION 2023"  at Mar Ivanios Hall  on 28th January 2023. The program began with the Prayer song by the college choir followed by  Tamil  Thai Vazhthu and College Anthem. The Alumni were welcomed by Welcome Dance by  their alma mater, followed by blessings and prayers from the Secretary Rev. Fr. Mathew Pallikunnel.

Welcome  Address was rendered by the Alumni Association President Mr. E. Jaganathan. The Alumni Reunion inaugural address was presented by the Principal Dr. M. Sivarajan. The Alumni Association convenor Ms. Raja Lakshmi delivered the Vote of Thanks. In her speech, she thanked the various organizers  and especially the Management of Mar Gregorios College of Arts & Science for being a beacon in making the 8th Alumni Reunion 2023 a grand success. Alumnus  presented the pleasant journey of the Alumni Association. 


It was followed by cultural events by Alumni and a dance by their Alma mater. The Program ended joyfully by conducting various games for the alumni. Indeed, the Alumni rejoiced the past pleasant memories in  present to cherish in future.

Chennai, March 24, 2026: In a landmark advancement for cardiac care in India, Madras Medical Mission (MMM) has successfully performed the country’s first implantation of the Evaheart Left Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD), while also achieving a global first with the implantation of the latest-generation Evaheart 3 model. The breakthrough procedure offers renewed hope for patients suffering from end-stage heart failure with limited treatment options. The procedure was carried out on a 42-year-old man who presented with severe chest pain and breathlessness and was diagnosed with a massive heart attack that caused extensive damage to the heart muscle.
