"Joy of Giving" - Launch of SEESHA's 'New Clothes Distribution' in Chennai

Chennai, December 10, 2022: On behalf of SEESHA Non-Profit Organization, the "Joy of Giving" New Clothes & Welfare Assistance distribution event was held on Saturday, December 10th 2022, at the Adyar campus, Dr. D.G.S. Dhinakaran Road, Chennai. Dr. Paul Dhinakaran, presided over the function and launched this year's New Clothes distribution for underprivileged children.

SEESHA has been bringing hope and joy to thousands of impoverished children & youth, their families, disadvantaged women, the elderly, the differently-abled, the marginalized, and the disaster-hit communities through its various community-driven projects over the past 19 years. As part of its initiative for the holistic development of underprivileged children, SEESHA celebrates the year-end festive season by gifting several thousand new clothes to children from downtrodden communities and disaster-hit regions across India, every year.
NEW CLOTHES DISTRIBUTION CEREMONY IN CHENNAI
At a ceremony held on December 10, 2022, at Dr. D.G.S. Dhinakaran Salai, Chennai, Dr.Paul Dhinakaran (Founder - SEESHA, Chancellor - Karunya Deemed to be University, Co-Founder & Chairman - Jesus Calls), presided over the launch of new clothes distribution this year and shared the Word of blessing. During the event, Mrs. Evangeline Paul Dhinakaran along with Mr. Samuel Paul Dhinakaran, Dr. Shilpa Dhinakaran and Ms. Stella Ramola, gifted new clothes to children from underprivileged families and distributed various welfare assistance to people in need. Totally, 400 children from nearby communities were gifted new clothes at this event.
Welfare assistance that were handed over to beneficiaries at the event include - a wheel chair to support the rehabilitation of a differently-abled person, push-carts for five deprived & aspiring entrepreneurs, and power-operated sewing machines for two disadvantaged women to improve their livelihoods. Also during the occasion, livelihood assistance was given to a differently-abled woman to support her microenterprise and sports kits were gifted to two youth clubs.
SEESHA's Trustees Adv. Easwaradhas and Dr. J. Samuel Thomas, Dr. Jeyakumar Daniel -Advisor, SEESHA, along with other SEESHA staff, volunteers, children, and general public participated in the event.
The event was well-received and appreciated by all, especially by the benefited children and their families, the disadvantaged women, and the differently-abled as SEESHA's assistance for their livelihood ensured them of a hopeful future.
