J Sridhar takes over as Governor of Rotary Dist 3232


Chennai: Rtn Sridhar, a qualified automotive engineer  will steer the Rotary wheels for Rotary  in year 21-22. Dist 3232 comprises of 147 clubs, all in the city of Chennai with a head count of over 6000 Rotarians.

Sridhar a Rotarian for over 20 years  is a member of the Rotary Club of Madras Industrial City, Chennai. He   holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering and Post Graduate Degree in Management. A qualified Automotive Cooling System Engineering Expert, he is the CEO of Magal Engg Tech P Ltd, a subsidiary of Magal Engineering Ltd, UK, manufacturing critical powertrain parts and mechanical assemblies for the automobile industry.

Sridhar has held many positions in the District, as the GSE Selection Committee Member (2009- 13), Secretary-PETS held at Bangkok and Singapore (2009 & 2012), Assistant Governor (2009- 10), Assistant Governor-l, he also served as Assistant Secretary for Rotary Zone Institute, Bangkok (2010-11), Treasurer for the MultiAdmin (2012-13), Director-International Service (2012-13), District Conference Secretary (2015-16), PETS Chairman, Assistant Governor-Admin and District Membership Chairman (2018-19) At the Rotary Zonal leve District PETS, Sri Lanka (2015-16), Facilitation Team Member for Training Programs, Rotary Zone Institute, Dubai (2015-16) and Co-Chair Venue Management Committee for Rotary South Asia Literacy Summit, Chennai (2016-17).

Sridhar is actively connected with the Automotive Components Manufacturers Association of India and currently the Zonal Chairman of ACMA for Chennai Area. Also, he is  a Trustee in the Ambur Hindu Educational Society’s College Trust.

An avid traveller, Sridhar is married to Punitha, who holds a Post Graduate degree in Business Economics and manages a software firm, Convex Business Solutions in Chennai. They are blessed with two daughters, Vidya, a Post Graduate in Computer Science Engineering, and Nithya who is pursuing her Law Hons. Degree.
