Rotary Club of Madras donates Face Shields to the police

Chennai: The Rotary Club of Madras, formally handed over the 1000, Anti Fog, Scratch resistant Face Shields to the Addl. Commissioner of Police of the Government of Tamilnadu,  Dr. N. Kannan. President Rtn. Kapil Chitale, did the honours  in the presence of a few Rotarians from  the club. 

Pres Kapil said it is a special privilege to do our bit for the police force, who are doing yeoman service at great risk to their own lives. These shields are light weight and very durable while wearing it.

Of the 1000, about 250 have been funded by the Rotary Club of Miami ,USA.

Chennai, July 10, 2026: In a landmark achievement for global cardiac care, Kauvery Hospital, Alwarpet has successfully performed what is believed to be the world's first completely catheter-based treatment for both failing aortic and pulmonary valves following a Ross procedure—without the need for repeat open-heart surgery.
