Pejawar Mutt Udupi Seer urges Tamil Nadu to join hands in construction of Ayodhya Ram Mandir.
- Tamil soil has huge footprints of Ramayana
Chennai, Dec, 08 2020: As you are aware that the dreams of crores of Hindu people to have Ram Mandir in Ayodhya is in the path of realisation now. Lakhs of people have sacrificed their lives for the noble cause. Our senior seer Sri Vishwesha Theertha of Sri Pejavar Mutt, Udupi had stood firm for the cause of Ram Mandir and guided the people on this regard.
I being his successor of Pejavar Mutt got the responsibility of being one of the trust of Sri Ram Janmabhoomi Teertha Kshetra Trust and I am very much delighted for this opportunity.
Now the initial works of Ram Temple project is underway.
For the spreading the message on this cause of Ram Temple project at Ayodhya, I am taking a tour around South Indian states and meeting the religious leaders, saints Governors, Chief Ministers, political party leaders, entrepreneurs, people's representatives, the devotees and expecting their support
Tamil Nadu being one state where the tales of epic Ramayana has been enormously studied by people, adopted the values inherited in the Ramayana, ethos derived from great religious epic, has given great importance to Lord Rama. Works such as Kamba Ramayana, dance form like Bharathanatya and the folklore of the land has taken great influence of Ramayana Holy places like Dhanushkoti, Ramasethu, Rameshwara denote that Tamil culture has inherited the tradition and legacy of Ramayana.
So with all these in our thoughts, we would like you and the people of Tamilnadu as a whole to extend your all possible support for the sacred cause. We request you to actively participate in Ram Mandir construction project and add power to our mission. The flavour of devotion for Lord Ram should spread nook and corner of this state and that is our wish.
As a precursor to construction of Ram Temple in Ayodhya, tests are being carried out to determine the carrying capacity of the soil at site. This is being done to ensure longevity of the temple for preliminary reports indicate a mixture of sand with the soil in the region. The task of constructing the temple has been vested with Larsen and Toubro.
A nation wide drive to collect funds for this project will get underway from January 15 and so on until February 27. The temple project including development of 67 acre area abutting the temple is estimated to cost Rs 1000 crore. The task of collecting the funds in this nationwide drive has been entrusted to Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) and the Vishwahindu Parishad (VHP). District wise committees will be set up for this drive and trained to reach all strata of society.
The entire process of collection and expenditure of funds for the Ram Mandir Project will be carried out in a transparent manner.
Good luck to all!
