Credai Elects Mr. Padam Dugar, as the President of Chennai Chapter


Chennai, 1st May 2020: Confederation of Real Estate Developers' Associations of India (CREDAI) recently announced Mr. Padam Dugar, as the president of CREDAI, Chennai for next two year (April 2020 to March 2022). Mr. Dugar, took over the charge from April 1, 2020 from Mr. W.S.Habib to become the new president of the CREDAI Chennai.
Speaking on this announcement Mr. Padam Dugar said, “It gives me immense joy in being bestowed with a chance to lead the body at this level. With this being said, we at CREDAI are extremely eager and honored to work closely with the Government to achieve in the goal of providing HOUSING FOR ALL.CREDAI as a body is working in the interest of the home buyers, we would be focusing on customers delight in buying their dream home and put forward all the hurdles and easing of costs with the Government to ensure our “customers’ requests are achieved.”

Further adding to this, Mr. Dugar said, “The foremost priorities of the committee this year would be to urge the government to incentivize the Home Buyers by reducing the cost to the customers like reduction stamp duty and registration charges to below 5% ,offer special home loan interest etc., to attract the investment post the lockdown. At present, we all observe our safety and the safety of those around us, it is essential that in order to do so, we must contain ourselves to curb this global pandemic.”

Padam Dugar A commerce graduate with relentless drive and zeal in him, Mr Dugar as a Vice Chairman & Managing Director of Dugar Housing Limited has helped the company carve out a distinct niche for itself for more than 3 decades. During the year 2008 when the world financial recession hit, he had launched a budget/affordable housing project on OMR and it was sold out in a record time of 45 minutes. He has constantly strived at educating the customer on their rights while buying a home and is well known in the industry for transparency in all his dealings.

The office bearers are :Mr. Sivagurunathan, as President Elect, Mr. Mehul H Doshi and Mr. Mohammed Ali have been elected as Vice Presidents; Mr. M. Arumugham as the new secretary and Mr. Abhishek Mehta as the new treasurer of the CREDAI Chennai .

The new committee will also play an important role in working closely with different Government policy bodies and departments to give shape to a robust realty industry in Chennai post the lockdown.
