Chennai. 2nd Jan 2020:  Treasures from the North East – An exclusive Exhibition cum sale of the Artefacts, Pottery, Traditional and Fashion Jewellery, Trinkets, Decorative Items, Handloom weaves in Cotton and Silk, Grass Artefacts, Cane handicrafts & Bamboo furniture and more  from the north eastern region is being held at the Central Cottage Industries Emporium in Chennai.

Sponsored by DoNER - the Department of North Eastern Region this exhibition will be held between 10.30 am and 7.30 pm from the 1st of Jan 2020 to 15th Jan 2020. This expo will exhibit exclusive products specially created by award winning craft persons & master craft persons from the North Eastern Region including, Arulachal Pradesh, Assam, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim & Tripura



Central Cottage Emporium (CCIC), A Government of India Undertaking under Ministry of Textile is the India’s window to the world for nearly over 60 years for authentic handloom and handicraft . A heart transplant became the only viable option. With his father working as a driver and unable to afford the high cost, financial support was arranged through MMM’s Social Works Department and a major Trust.
