India’s Largest B2B Medical Equipment Expo 23rd Edition of Medicall Commences from 26th to 28th July at Chennai Trade Center

The expo was inaugurated by Ms. Karin Stoll - Consul General at the German Consulate, Chennai.

Chennai, 26^th July 2019: Medexpert Business Consultants Pvt Ltd in association with Dr. Manivannan S, Joint Managing Director of Kauvery Hospital, launched the 23^rd edition of India’s largest medical equipment trade fair ‘Medicall’ scheduled from 26^th – 28^th July at the Chennai Trade Centre, today. Medicall is truly an international show with Exclusive Hall for international companies from Germany, Japan, China, Taiwan, Malaysia, South Korea, Portugal, Italy, UK, and USA. More than 6000 products from 20+ countries are on display this year. The Trade Fair focuses on all the needs of a hospital from surgical cotton to the latest imaging equipment and surgical tools. Around 18,000 medical professionals are expected to visit the expo.

Medicall has become the largest medical trade fair in Chennai across all industries making it the most popular show amongst health care professionals. Medicall serves as a marketing platform wherein the equipment companies showcase their products and services to Hospital owners and decision makers. Doctors from all the 4 southern states make it as a pilgrimage to Chennai in last week of July just to see in action the best and the latest from around the world of all hospital needs.

While talking about the motivation behind starting this expo, Dr Manivannan S said, “Small and medium sized hospital owners from tier II and III cities cannot afford to have qualified purchase managers. Equipment companies also do not have adequate sale force to meet all these hospital owners. Since I have undergone the difficulty for my hospital, I thought Medicall will bring in all equipment manufacturers under one roof”

The most interesting segment in Medicall is ‘Made-In- India Healthcare Innovation Awards’, every year Medicall recognizes and rewards innovations in the health care industry. The Awards are accredited by NHHID - National Hub for Healthcare Instrumentation Development, Anna University. The awards are judged by a professional jury of eminent experts led by Dr. V I Mathan former director CMC Vellore. This year there was an overwhelming response from more than 300 applicants from around India. Prestigious academic institutions like the IIT, leading hospital chains and top grade medical equipment manufacturers top inventors and scientists have applied for the prestigious Medicall Make in India Innovation Award.
