Chennai, November 15, 2025: The Indian Coast Guard Veterans Welfare Association (ICGVWA) proudly celebrated its 8th Raising Day today, a milestone that also witnessed the unveiling of the Association’s new Flag and the launch of the upgraded ICGVWA Website 2.0, designed to further advance the welfare of Indian Coast Guard veterans. Chennai, October 17, 2025: Vasan Eye Care Hospital, Chrompet, in collaboration with Shrimathi Devkunwar Nanalal Bhat Vaishnava College for Women, jointly observed World Sight Day 2025 with a powerful message on preventing vision loss and promoting safe Diwali celebrations. Over 150 college students participated in a unique Blind Walk, symbolically tying black ribbons over their eyes to raise awareness about visual impairment and the importance of eye donation. The event also included a vibrant rally advocating for eye care, eye safety during Diwali, and support for the visually impaired. Madras Diabetes Research Foundation Signs MOU with CBR & UK DRI for Pioneering Diabetes and Brain Health Research

25th October 2025 | Chennai, India – In a significant international partnership, the Madras Diabetes Research Foundation (MDRF), Chennai, the Centre for Brain Research (CBR) at the Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Bengaluru, and the UK Dementia Research Institute (UK DRI) have come together to advance pioneering research into the complex links between diabetes and brain health. Separate Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs) were signed between MDRF, CBR, and UK DRI to formalize this collaboration. Bringing together global leaders in diabetes, neuroscience, and dementia research, the initiative will explore how metabolic disorders such as diabetes contribute to cognitive decline and neurological diseases, including dementia and Alzheimer’s disease.
