Chennai, 03rd March 2019: UBM India, the largest organizer of jewellery
fairs in India, announced the March edition of its premium international B2B
jewellery fair in South India – the Chennai Jewellery & Gem Fair (CJGF).
The expo, scheduled to be held between 8th
– 10th March 2019 at the
Chennai Trade Centre is well-supported by the prominent jewellery
association -- Chennai Jewellers Association (CJA) and is
anticipated to attract 100+ exhibitors and over 30 luxurious jewellery brands.
The fair is recognised as an integral part of
the jewellery sector by 600+ associations from Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil
Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, and other Indian states and the industry at large,
with key support from Diamond Association Bangalore ( DAB ), All Kerala
Gold & Silver Merchants Association ( AKGSMA ), Surat Jewellery
Manufacturers Association ( SJMA ), Gems & Jewellery Association of Rajkot
and the The Jewellers’s Association ( JAB ).
The expo will provide a truly international
experience, based on its proven expertise in understanding local, national and
global jewellery markets. It will be studded with a number of world-class
features such as Gold, Silver, Gem Stones, Machinery and Luxury Pavilions,
Seminars, Workshops, Panel Discussions, a Fashion Show and Hall of Fame -- to
be graced by key stakeholders and celebrities.
The fair is a gateway to the Indian jewellery
market, with a special focus on South India’s range of designer jewellery. It
provides an excellent platform for jewellery wholesalers, retailers, importers
and exporters, jewellery manufacturers, diamond, gemstone, pearl suppliers and
traders, precious metal and jewellery mounting traders and suppliers, machinery
manufacturers and representatives from various trade and governmental
organisations, to come under one roof to meet, connect, network and grow their
businesses. The expo continues to attract well-reputed local and overseas
buyers, reinforcing the expo’s position as a proven and trusted sourcing hub
for the industry. In addition to Tier I, II and III cities in India, the
exhibition will see participation from countries such as Dubai, Singapore,
Malaysia and Sri Lanka.
Speaking at the announcement of
the March edition of CJGF, Mr. Yogesh Mudras said, “Given its dual utility of being

consumer of gold within the country.
The March edition of our much

current love for upscale, contemporary, statement jewellery pieces. When
it comes to jewellery trends in 2019, bold, layered, oversized statement pieces
like gemstone clustered neckpiece and bold hoops are in focus. These and many
more can be witnessed at the CJGF, which is poised to be a coveted platform to
support the established and upcoming centers of excellence in jewellery in the

The CJGF is one of the five-city jewellery
shows (Kolkata, Chennai, Hyderabad, Mumbai and Delhi) that will be hosted
