The Hindustan Group Of Institutions gets into the Asia Book Of Records

A safe childhood is a child’s birthright! The students of the Hindustan
group of institution gathered together to create a Guinness World Record and
Asia Record on Child Safety
Chennai, Feb 26th, 2019: This
program witnessed over 4000 students from various age groups from Hindustan
International School, KCG College and from other Hindustan Group of Institutions
gather under one roof. The workshop on Child Safety, a Guinness World Record on
account of the student count under one roof , was conducted by Deepa Aathreya,
Founder of School Of Success. ‘Safety is every child’s fundamental birthright!
We need to come together, voice out loud and ensure a safe childhood for our
future generations! We can. We must. We will. Together, let’s be the change’
said Deepa. The workshop sensitised the gathering on the need for child safety
and what actions should a common citizen take to prevent child abuse and
safeguard children. The Day also witnessed a talk show between students of Be
The Change Movement and Friends Of Police (TN Police).

Dr.
Prateep Phillip, ADGP - CID, in his special address to the gathering assured
them that the Police dedicate themselves to protect the children against crimes
like kidnap, abduction, child rape, etc. However, unfortunately with most
of the crimes happening within the four walls of the house, Police get to know
about this rather too late and quite a few cases do not get reported at
all. He also highlighted the fact that the Protection of Children from
Sexual Offences Act was amended in 2018 to provide for award of death penalty
for assaults of an aggravated nature on children below the age of 12. 1
in 3 children, boy or girl, is abused. He added that the Friends of
Police Student Corps will be introduced in all Schools and Colleges in India
shortly to educate and empower the children regarding this.
Actors
Nisha and Ganesh Venkatram were the chief guests for the day and Brand
Ambassadors for the campaign.
This is
an initiative of the Be The Change Movement of School Of Success (A Brand
Avatar Entity). Be The Change is a Movement by the children who work on social
causes. School Of Success has worked with over 3 Lakhs students till date
enabling them to take charge and lead.
Details
