Craft and Weaves Exhibition to be held from 4th January to 13th January 2019 between 10:30 AM to 8:30 PM at TNHB Community Hall, Besant Nagar, 1st Avenue, Adjacent to Besant Nagar Bus Depot, Chennai-600090

Chennai, 4th January 2019: Central Cottage Industries Emporium India Ltd, is organising Craft and Weaves –An Exhibition cum Sale of Exclusive Handlooms and Handicraft. Thistenday exhibition is been held at TNBH Community Hall, Besant Nagar ,Chennai from the 4th January till 13th January 2019. This is being organised for the growth and development of Handloom and Handicraft through the direct participation of weavers and artisans

This exhibition is being organised to provide weavers and artisans the market intelligence so that they can product market relevant products and may formulate the pricing model on the basis of demand. 

This exhibition has been envisaged to showcase the creations of Indian weavers and artisans.

Products on display and sale are Exquisite Sarees, Bed Spreads, Table Linen, Ready to wear and Dress Fabrics from Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, Odisha and West Bengal in Woven and Printed, Wood Carvings, Carpets, Leather Products, Toys, Painting: Madhubani, Jewellery and many more under one roof!

Chennai, March 24, 2026: In a landmark advancement for cardiac care in India, Madras Medical Mission (MMM) has successfully performed the country’s first implantation of the Evaheart Left Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD), while also achieving a global first with the implantation of the latest-generation Evaheart 3 model. The breakthrough procedure offers renewed hope for patients suffering from end-stage heart failure with limited treatment options. The procedure was carried out on a 42-year-old man who presented with severe chest pain and breathlessness and was diagnosed with a massive heart attack that caused extensive damage to the heart muscle.
