Chennai, March 5, 2024: The official announcement about The RISE Davos Summit was made today in Chennai by Chevalier Rev. Dr. Jegath Gaspar Raj, Founder of The RISE Global in the presence of Er. Krishna Jegan - International President of GTEF (Global Tamil Engineers Forum), Er. Selvam Chandrakasu, Tamil Nadu President of GTEF, Mr. Jose Mikle Robin - The RISE President of Oman, Advocate Kanimozhi Mathi, TN President of Global Tamil Lawyers (GTL), Mr. Suresh Manoharan, Global Secretariat Director of The RISE, and several other frontline leaders.

The Rise which is now a registered International NGO in Switzerland is the most expansive and fast-growing global organisation of Tamil entrepreneurs and professionals with established Chapters in 32 countries. The Davos summit is expected to bring around 600 delegates from more than 40 countries of the world making it the largest ever gathering of Global Tamil entrepreneurs and professionals in Switzerland. 

Transforming the transnational Tamil communities as an interconnected global civil society and preparing them for the 4th Industrial Revolution is one of the key objectives of the summit. Such a Tamil Civil society is needed to navigate the social impacts of emerging technologies such as AI, biotechnologies, and neurotechnologies. The Davos summit will call for knowledge sharing, cross sector learning, multi stakeholder corporation and financial resources to build a robust global Tamil civil society, said Rev. Dr. Jegath.

Keynotes, Panel Discussions, and Fireside Chats include pertinently relevant themes like : Global Tamil Sustainability Alliance; Technology - Talent - Trajectory combine to power up the Start Ups; Inclusive Globalisation; Understanding the New Matrix of Global Value Chains; Future of Healthcare; Tamil Algorithm Alliance; Envisioning Global Tamil Capability Centers; Future of Education; Future of Legal Profession; Understanding & Unlocking the potential of Creative Economy; and Envisioning aTamil Future within the rapidly changing contours and trajectories of Global Future”.
