VGP Ulaga Tamil Sangam handed over 60 Thiruvalluvar statues to be Installed in USA

Chennai, 9th April, 2021: VGP Ulaga Tamil sangam President Dr. V.G.Santhosam handed over 60 Thiruvalluvar statues to 60 Tamil Associations operating in 60 provinces in Federation of North America Tamil sangam (FETNA).

The Preparation and Coordinator for the installation of the Thiruvalluvar statues is North America Tamil sangam(FETNA) President Dr.Caldwel Velnambi. The handing over and unveiling  of Thiruvalluvar statues was held at Sathya Studio, Dr. MGR Janaki Women's Arts College, Adyar, Chennai.

Thirumigu. K. Veeramani, President of Dravidar Kazhagam presided over the function. Kaviperasu Padmashree Vairamuthu made a special speech. Give Welcome Address was given by VGP Ravidas and Vote of  thanks by VGP Rajadas .

Dr. V.G Santhosam, who presided over the function, said, "Today is a wonderful day. VGP Ulaga Tamil Sangam has already installed 62 Thiruvalluvar Statues all over the world. Now We are very proud to install a bulk of 60 Thiruvalluvar statues at North America Tamil Sangam.

In addition, we will be also installing 7 Thiruvalluvar statues in 7 Tamil schools in New Delhi in May 2021. Our aim is to have 133 Thiruvalluvar statues installed by before August 15, 2021 considering the significance of Thirukural 133 Adhikaram

At the VGP Ulaga Tamil Sangam's Silver Jubilee ceremony, Kavinar Vairamuthu said that, "You should have 133 Thiruvalluvar statues in your lifetime."

According to him, 133 Thiruvalluvar statues will be erected by August 15th 2021 and the 133th Thiruvalluvar statue will be erected at the same at Sathya Studio, Dr.MGR Janaki Women's Arts College.

I have asked Dr. Caldwell Velnambi to give one of these 60 statues to US President Joe Biden and another one to US VicePresident Kamala Harris. In his speech, Dr. Caldwell Velnambi said that the erection of such statues would help the people of the world to know the glory of Thirukural and the Tamil language.
