1,100+ Hotels, Endless Opportunities: Chennais Amirta Signs Landmark MOU With Malaysian Hotels Body

Chennai, 05 June 2026: In a major boost to international career opportunities for hospitality students, Chennais Amirta Group of Institutions has signed a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Malaysian Association of Hotels (MAH), one of Malaysia’s most influential hospitality organizations representing more than 1,100 hotels across the country.

The agreement was formally signed by Isaac Raj, Chief Executive Officer of MAH, and R. Boomee Naathan, Chairman of Chennais Amirta Group of Institutions. The partnership is aimed at creating extensive international internship and placement opportunities for hospitality students, strengthening industry-academia collaboration and enhancing global employability.

The signing ceremony witnessed an impressive display of hospitality skills by Chennais Amirta students. Their live demonstrations included intricate fruit and vegetable carving, blindfolded napkin folding, and innovative towel art presentations, showcasing the institution’s commitment to practical training and industry-ready education.

Under the new collaboration, more than 1,000 students are expected to benefit annually from internship and placement opportunities across MAH-affiliated hotels in Malaysia. The initiative will provide aspiring hospitality professionals with valuable international exposure, hands-on work experience, and access to some of Malaysia’s leading hotel brands.

Chennais Amirta has built a strong reputation in hospitality education with an impressive record of 31,651 national and international placements. Its alumni currently serve across renowned hospitality establishments in Malaysia, Singapore, the UAE, Maldives, Thailand, Europe and several other destinations worldwide. Many graduates working in Malaysia have advanced to key operational and managerial roles, earning recognition for their professional excellence.

Speaking on the occasion, representatives from both organizations emphasized their shared vision of bridging the gap between education and industry while creating a sustainable talent pipeline for the global hospitality sector. The partnership is expected to promote international mobility and help address the growing demand for skilled hospitality professionals worldwide.

A special acknowledgment was extended to Kalaiarasan, CEO of Future Dream Academy, for his instrumental role in facilitating and successfully establishing the international collaboration. Banumathy, Chief Operating Officer of Chennais Amirta Group of Institutions, was also present and highlighted the institution’s continued efforts to create transformative global opportunities for students.
