Rotary Club of Madras Honoured Zoho Founder Sridhar Vembu with Lifetime Achievement Award
Chennai, May 12, 2026: The Rotary Club of Madras honoured noted entrepreneur and Zoho founder Sridhar Vembu with the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award during its 43rd weekly meeting held at Abbotsbury Hall, Hyatt Regency, Chennai, on Tuesday evening.
The award ceremony brought together members of the Rotary community, business leaders and invited guests, who celebrated Vembu’s remarkable contribution to India’s technology and entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Recognised for building global software company Zoho Corporation from India while advocating rural development and decentralised economic growth, Sridhar Vembu was praised for his vision and leadership. His initiatives in promoting innovation, generating employment opportunities and supporting technology-driven education in rural Tamil Nadu received widespread appreciation from attendees.
Speaking at the event, members of the Rotary Club of Madras highlighted that the Lifetime Achievement Award recognised Vembu’s long-standing contribution to the IT industry and society. The evening also featured networking interactions and dinner for guests and members.
