Job Fair at Mar Gregorios College Sees Strong Participation, Boosts Career Opportunities for Students
Chennai, April 13, 2026: A vibrant Job Fair held at Mar Gregorios College of Arts & Science on Monday witnessed enthusiastic participation from students and recruiters alike, creating a dynamic platform for career exploration and employment opportunities.
The event, organised by the institution’s Placement Cell in collaboration with Magic Bus India Foundation, was formally inaugurated by the Principal, Dr. R. Srikanth, who marked the occasion with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. Faculty members, placement coordinators, and industry representatives were present at the inauguration.

Bringing together nearly 30 companies from diverse sectors, the job fair attracted close to 300 students, including participants from neighbouring colleges. The wide range of recruiters offered opportunities across domains such as IT services, finance, marketing, and operations, reflecting the growing demand for skilled graduates.
The selection process saw a promising response, with around 130 students successfully clearing the initial screening rounds. These candidates have been shortlisted for subsequent stages of interviews, which are scheduled to be conducted in the coming days.
Students described the fair as an enriching experience that provided firsthand exposure to corporate hiring practices, aptitude assessments, and interview techniques. Recruiters, on the other hand, appreciated the quality of talent and the organisational efficiency of the event.
