India’s First Pan-India Reality Show ‘Big Pitchure’ Empowers Audience to Create a Film
Chennai, April 16, 2026: In a bold move poised to reshape Indian entertainment, Gammen Sports and Entertainment Pvt. Ltd. has unveiled ‘Big Pitchure’, the country’s first-ever pan-India reality show that places the power of filmmaking directly in the hands of the audience.
Set to stream on JioHotstar in five languages, the show challenges viewers with a striking proposition: “You’ve always judged movies. Now make one.” Designed as a 15-week immersive journey, Big Pitchure aims to transform everyday viewers into storytellers, directors, performers, and creative decision-makers behind a full-length feature film.

At a time when films are often reduced to quick reviews and ratings, the show seeks to bridge the gap between audience perception and the realities of filmmaking. The initiative will culminate in a theatrical release of a film created “by the people, for the people.”
The format is driven by two key elements — the Starboard and the Motherboard. The Starboard acts as a digital showcase featuring thousands of story ideas, auditions, and music submissions from across the country. Meanwhile, the Motherboard serves as the decision-making hub, where audiences and mentors collaboratively shortlist and refine the best entries. Over the weeks, it evolves into the blueprint of the final film, revealing the cast, crew, and script in stages.
Producer RAV said the concept was born out of a desire to change how audiences engage with cinema. “Every Friday, years of hard work are often reduced to a few stars in a review. With ‘Big Pitchure,’ we want audiences to experience the weight of the camera and the pressure of storytelling. This is more than a show — it’s a movement to build empathy for the craft while discovering hidden talent across India,” he said.
The weekly 60-minute episodes will stream every Sunday, each focusing on different stages of filmmaking. After the finale, selected winners will collaborate to produce a feature film intended for a nationwide audience.
The show will be hosted in multiple languages by a diverse lineup of actors, including Bharath (Tamil), Indrajith Sukumaran (Malayalam), Navdeep (Telugu), Vasishta N. Simha (Kannada), and Vijay Raaz (Hindi), ensuring wide participation from across regions.
Actor Bharath, who will host the Tamil version, highlighted the significance of the format. “Tamil cinema fans have always been deeply passionate. For the first time, they are stepping beyond being critics to becoming creators. It’s an exciting opportunity to showcase that making a film is as dramatic as watching one,” he said.
Aspiring writers, actors, technicians, and musicians can register and submit entries through the official website or by downloading the Big Pitchure mobile application. The makers believe the platform will uncover fresh talent while redefining how cinema is imagined and created in India.
