Grace Food Courts Launches Flagship Chicking Outlet in Anna Nagar, Strengthening QSR Footprint in Chennai
Chennai: Grace Food Courts Private Limited (GFCPL) has launched its new flagship Chicking outlet at Shanti Colony, Anna Nagar, marking a significant step in its expansion strategy and underlining its ambitions in Chennai’s highly competitive Quick Service Restaurant (QSR) market.
The outlet was inaugurated by Chicking Founder and Chairman Mansoor A K., in the presence of Anna Nagar MLA M K Mohan. The event underscored India’s growing strategic importance for the Dubai-based QSR brand, which today counts the country as its largest global market. Of Chicking’s more than 450 outlets spread across 45 countries, over 125 are located in India.

The Anna Nagar launch assumes added significance as it represents GFCPL’s first major initiative after acquiring the Master Franchise rights for Chicking across India, excluding Kerala. As part of this consolidation drive, Grace Food Courts has also taken over the operational control of 21 existing Chicking outlets, bringing together a previously fragmented network under a unified management and operating framework.
Describing the outlet as a milestone rather than a routine opening, Ajay Kumar, Founding Partner and CEO of Grace Food Courts, said the flagship store reflects a scalable blueprint for the company’s future growth. “This flagship reflects our focus on strong operational controls and international standards,” he said. “At the same time, we are preparing for the next phase of growth, including our entry into the vegetarian South Indian QSR space. We will be announcing our plans very soon.”
Designed as a proof of concept, the Anna Nagar outlet showcases GFCPL’s centralized operations model aimed at delivering consistency, efficiency, and an enhanced customer experience across geographies.
Building on this momentum, GFCPL has confirmed an accelerated rollout plan, with a new Chicking outlet set to open at Gopalan Mall, Bengaluru, followed by another store in Maduravoyal, Chennai, later this month.
In parallel, the group continues to scale its CoffeTea caf├й and bakery concept. As part of this expansion, CoffeTea will launch its first experience store at Gopalapuram, Cathedral Road, Chennai, later this month, further strengthening Grace Food Courts’ presence in the city’s premium food and beverage segment.
