Chennai: Gregorios College of Arts & Science, Mogappair West, Chennai, celebrated its 24th Graduation Day on 15th February 2025 at the CSI LITE Auditorium, Kilpauk. With 28 years of excellence in education, Mar Gregorios College continues to foster a dynamic blend of creativity and intellect, nurturing well-rounded individuals. The graduands, year after year, bring laurels to the institution by securing university ranks.
The ceremony commenced with the academic procession, followed by a Prayer Song and Tamilthai Vazhthu. Rt. Rev. Msgr. Shaji Mathews Vazhayil, Vicar General and Corporate Manager of the Diocese of St. Ephrem Khadki-Pune, graced the occasion with his blessings, congratulating the graduands and the entire MGC family. The Secretary, Rev. Fr. Mathew Pallikunnel, formally declared the Graduation Day open. The Principal, Dr. R. Srikanth, welcomed the gathering, introduced the Chief Guest, and presented a comprehensive report on the college's activities and achievements.

The Chief Guest of the day, Dr. Utham Kumar Jamadhagni, Ph.D., Dean i/c – College Development Council, Professor & Head, Department of Defence and Strategic Studies, University of Madras, delivered an inspiring Graduation Address. He emphasized the importance of developing employability skills alongside academic achievements, encouraging the graduates to focus on personal growth and contribute positively to their families, society, and nation.
This year, degrees were conferred upon 698 U.G. graduands and 67 P.G. graduands from various disciplines. The ceremony also recognized the achievements of two University Rank Holders: Ms. K. Parvathi of M.S.W., who secured the 2nd rank and Ms. R. Asha Nandhini of M. Com., who secured the 7th rank.
The Principal administered the graduation pledge to the graduates, and the Graduation Ceremony was formally dissolved. The event concluded with the National Anthem, marking a memorable and proud moment for all.
