Chennai, August 18, 2024: Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology is excited to celebrate its 37th anniversary since its establishment, showcasing a strong commitment to excellence in teaching, training, and research. Over the years, the institute has consistently demonstrated its dedication to fostering a high-quality educational environment. This remarkable journey has been made possible through the collaborative efforts of all stakeholders involving students, parents, industry partners, and alumni, who have contributed significantly to the institution's growth and success.
As a result of these collective endeavors, Sathyabama has achieved notable recognition in the academic landscape, proudly securing the 51st Rank among top100 Universities in India, NIRF. This accolade not only reflects the institute's commitment to maintaining high educational standards but also underscores its ongoing efforts to provide students with the skills and knowledge necessary to excel in their respective fields.
The 33rd Convocation of Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology was held on August 18, 2024, in the Institution Auditorium, with the blessings of Founder Chancellor HonorableDr. Jeppiaar. The ceremony was honored by the esteemed Chief Guest Mr. Ashwin Raja, CoFounder and Chief Technology Officer of Motorq. The honorable Chancellor Dr. Mariazeena Johnson, presided over the event in the presence of President Dr. Marie Johnson. Vice President Ms. Maria Bernadette Arul Selvan, Vice President Mr. J. Arul Selvan, and Vice President Ms. Maria Catherine Johnson.

During this momentous occasion, a remarkable total of 3508 undergraduate students, 644postgraduate students, and 122 Ph.D. scholars proudly received their degrees. Among these graduates, 45 exceptional students were recognized with gold medals, celebrating their exemplary academic performances and dedication to their studies.

Sathyabama Institute of Science and Technology has consistently demonstrated impressive placement records over the years. For the academic year 2023-24, the institution hosted 417 companies to the campus for recruitment, leading to a substantial 3,053 job offers for the students. This achievement reflects the University’s commitment to student success, with an impressive 92.72% of graduates securing placements through the campus recruitment program, as on date. The highest package offered was ₹50 LPA, while the average cost-to-company (CTC) stood at ₹5.75 LPA, showcasing the strong demand for Sathyabama graduates in the job market.
