Mar Gregorios College (MGC) Celebrates "MGC Fiesta 2K22" as part of Silver Jubilee Year

Chennai, March 19, 2022: Mar Gregorios College of Arts & Science, Mogappair West, Chennai organised the most awaited Intra-collegiate cultural fest, FIESTA 2022 on 19th March 2022 in the college premises.

The venue was set-up in a grand fashion. His Excellency Most Rev.Dr. Thomas Mar Anthonios OIC was the chief guest of the day. Mr. Karthik Netha, Lyricist &  Writer, the Guest of Honour graced the occasion with his presence.

The program was inaugurated by Rev. Fr. Philip Pulipra, Secretary of MGC, followed by the felicitation by  Dr. M.Sivarajan, Principal. Various on-stage and off-stage competitions like Light Music, Ad-zap, Adapt a tune, Mime, Group Dance, Face Painting, Nail Art, Jewellery Making, Instrumental and photography were conducted to showcase the skills and talents of MGCians. 


Yellow  house  from both Shift I and Shift II bagged the overall trophy.  Dr. G.Gayathry and Prof. K.Subhashini, Vice Principals of Shift I and Shift II and the Cultural Convenors  co-ordinated the events. The campus was filled with fun vibes and the program was deemed to be  a grand success.

Chennai, March 24, 2026: In a landmark advancement for cardiac care in India, Madras Medical Mission (MMM) has successfully performed the country’s first implantation of the Evaheart Left Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD), while also achieving a global first with the implantation of the latest-generation Evaheart 3 model. The breakthrough procedure offers renewed hope for patients suffering from end-stage heart failure with limited treatment options. The procedure was carried out on a 42-year-old man who presented with severe chest pain and breathlessness and was diagnosed with a massive heart attack that caused extensive damage to the heart muscle.
