Yuvan Shankar Raja Opens Meenakshi Lab's Advanced Diagnostic Labs in Six Locations in Southern Districts, Tamilnadu
- Aims to Make Faster and Zero-Error Reports Possible for People in South Tamil Nadu
- Plans to Add 10 More Labs to the Network by End of 2020

2020: Renowned music director Mr. Yuvan
Shankar Raja, Chairman of Meenakshi Mission Hospital and Research Centre,
Madurai, Dr. S. Gurushankar, and film director Mr. Ike Rathe unveiled here
today, the logo of Meenakshi Labs, a network of advanced and fully
automated diagnostic labs. An ad film of Meenakshi Lab, composed by Music
Director Mr. Yuvan Shankar Raja, was released. The event also marked the
inauguration of Meenakshi Labs in Karaikudi, Kumbakonam, Madurai,
Mayiladuthurai, Rajapalayam, and Tanjore.

In line with
the brand slogan, which is ‘Vegame, Vivegam’ (translates into English as ‘fast
and smart’), Meenakshi Labs aims to provide faster and more accurate diagnostic
services for the people of Tamil Nadu, especially those who live in the tier II
and tier III towns, and villages in the Southern Districts of the State.
Commenting
about the logo and the Ad- film, Mr Yuvan Shankar Raja said, this is the first
I have ever composed music for an ad film of a commercial brand. also, the
first time I am attending the logo launch of a commercial brand. I chose to do
so because of two reasons: one, the brand comes from Madurai which is my home
town. Two, the facilities of Madurai Labs are world class. People in the
southern districts would surely benefit from the quality and faster diagnostic
services of Meenakshi Labs.”
Film
Director Mr. Ike Rathe said that more accurate and faster diagnosis is the need
of the hour for people in smaller cities, as the processing centres are mostly
located in metros. Immediate access to diagnostic results can go a long way in
preventing illness, improving treatments, quickening recovery, and saving
lives.
Talking
about the advanced facilities of Meenakshi Labs, Dr S. Gurushankar Chairman of
Meenakshi Mission Hospital and Research Centre, Madurai said, “For accurate
diagnostic results, we have to rely on a high degree of automation. I am happy
to observe that at Meenakshi Labs, there is very minimal manual intervention in
the core diagnostic operations. This would ensure least possibility of errors
and fast turnaround time. Further, the Labs adopt global best practices in all
lab activities - right from handling test requests to report delivery.”
Meenakshi
labs are fully equipped to perform all kinds of medical investigations. The
Labs have well-calibrated instruments and employ competent professionals.
Meenakshi Labs is set to take its presence to 10 more locations in the southern
districts by the end of 2020. It is also setting up its centers in Chennai and
other metro cities.
To take the

counsellors who help patients understand the need for the tests, and the
