The Chennai facility has evolved into one of the region’s largest and most advanced intralogistics manufacturing hubs, producing high-precision systems that support automated and high-density warehousing environments. Over the years, it has played a crucial role in delivering large-scale storage and material handling solutions while strengthening India’s logistics backbone.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Vikas Choudaha, Business Head – Storage Solutions, Godrej Enterprises Group, said the warehousing sector is witnessing a significant transformation with annual warehouse absorption crossing nearly 39 million sq. ft., highlighting its growing importance in building resilient and efficient supply chains.

“As supply chains become faster and more complex, the need for intelligent, technology-led and future-ready infrastructure is increasing. Through continued investments in engineering, innovation and automation, we are helping shape the future of India’s warehousing ecosystem,” he said.

Choudaha added that one in every three warehouses in India is powered by Godrej racking solutions, while the business has recorded a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 17 per cent over the past five years.

The company said its latest investments focus on automation-led manufacturing, precision engineering and integrated digital design-to-delivery systems, enabling faster execution and greater efficiency in handling complex intralogistics projects.

Godrej Enterprises Group has also introduced advanced solutions such as automated racking systems and rack-clad warehouses that maximise storage density, optimise vertical space utilisation and reduce land dependency. Sustainability remains a key focus, with manufacturing operations incorporating real-time monitoring and optimisation of energy and water consumption.

With exports reaching more than 40 countries across the Americas, Europe, the Middle East, ASEAN and Australia, the company continues to expand its global footprint while showcasing India’s engineering and manufacturing capabilities on the world stage.

Looking ahead, Godrej Enterprises Group said it remains focused on automation, digital transformation and sustainable growth, positioning itself to play a significant role in enhancing India’s competitiveness as a global manufacturing and logistics hub. :::
